Phillip Spaulding is headed back to Springfield It's big news for Guiding Late fans: Grant Aleksander will return to the show in 2009 -- and a first airdate has now been set. Before leaving in 2004, the actor had played the role of Phillip Spaulding for nearly 15 years. In between GL gigs, Aleksander also appeared on All My Children.
