Marcil out over contract dispute
Vanessa Marcil (Brenda Barrett) will once again be leaving General Hospital. According to published reports, Marcil and executives at ABC were unable to come to terms on a new contract. Marcil returned to the fictional town of Port Charles last year after a four-year absence.

Wagner joins cast of B&B
Veteran actor Jack Wagner has been signed to a contract with The Bold and the Beautiful. For much of the 80s and 90s, Wagner appeared on ABC's General Hospital as Frisco Jones.

In an usual move, a General Hospital performer that had been taken off contract has been bumped back up from recurring status. Long-time GH veteran John J. York (Mac Scorpio) has been given another long-term contract with the show.

GH's Anna Lee taken off contract
Long-time General Hospital veteran, Anna Lee (Lila Quartertmaine) has been taken off contract. While being taken off contract usually equates to real-world terms of being fired, a spokesperson for ABC states that the actress will still be seen on a recurring basis.
